Thanks to the optimisation of its processes and the implementation of new methodologies, IMEXHS has managed to cut its projects’ execution times in half.

IMEXHS has made a series of modifications that have led to a more agile and efficient implementation of each project, thus also improving the workload with regards to the required documentation.

An example of this is the modification of the Project Constitution Act, which is now only comprised of two (2) pages. Additionally, the Project Management Plan, a document that used to be very lengthy and also consumed a lot of time for project engineers, was eliminated.

With a new project implementation methodology based on the PMBOK Guide 6th Edition of Project Management, composed of the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closing phases, IMEXHS has obtained excellent results thanks to its review process, which allows for more agility in the successful implementation of projects.

Recently, the company has been carrying out dailys, together with the coordinator of the Engineering and Support Department, to review each of the requests made for the execution of projects and has achieved excellent results, thanks to the short response time. .

Some of the pilot projects that have benefited from the new methodology are:

• Masan Image Center

Aquila 3.0 Pro system implementation project at the Masan Image Center in Ecuador: This project,  carried out through the IMEXHS distributor, Mobitelemed, used the agile methodologies and good practices of time reduction to help generate an estimated optimisation of just over 50% in its implementation times.

With great pride, IMEXHS has managed to significantly reduce the time it takes to complete each project. It is important to consider that the extent to which deadlines can be shortened depends greatly on the complexity of the installation. Nevertheless, under the right conditions and with the implementation of agile methodologies for project execution, a decrease of 35% to 50% in implementation times is expected.

Finally, Juliana Giraldo, PMO at IMEXHS, commented: “Working with agile methodologies has brought multiple benefits to the company’s project area, allowing us to accelerate the implementation process of our different medical software solutions and thus bringing us one step closer to the natural evolution from a Project Department towards a Customer Success Department.”
