Keralty, a world leader in integral health care, operating in Colombia under the brands Colsanitas and Medisanitas, as well as under the health services provider EPS Sanitas; which are highly respected prepaid medical companies.

Colsanitas was founded in 1980, and currently has a medical network of more than 8K providers (21% health institutions and 79% affiliated physicians) and performs more than 1.5M outpatient consultations, 3,800 diagnostic aids, 100K surgical procedures and hospitalisations. Making Colsanitas one of the most important entities in the country.

IMEXHS will provide its AQUILA RIS/PACS solution to Clínica Infantil Santa María del Lago, one of Colsanitas latest acquisitions in Bogotá. The hospital has more than 150 beds, a radiology department, 19 pediatric critical care units, 18 adult critical care beds, a clinical laboratory and many other services. The hospital serves approximately 240K children who are members of EPS Sanitas.

The Challenge

As a new acquisition from Colsanitas, they were looking for a state-of-the-art solution with advanced clinical applications, Artificial Intelligence algorithms, and Advanced visualization tools. With the purpose of becoming a Clinic with high quality standards and be recognized for its customer service.

The solution

In 2020, IMEXHS provided the AQUILA RIS/PACS solution and patient portal, as well as Nuance’s speech recognition, to Santa Maria del Lago Children’s Clinic, one of Colsanitas latest acquisitions in Bogotá. The goal was to continue strengthening the health care of more than 240,000 children and adolescents who are affiliated with EPS Sanitas

 Implementation

With the objective of establishing immediate user access to the required services and optimizing care, IMEXHS provided its experience and service showing a real time control of the diagnostic imaging service, access and agility in the visualisation of results by the patient, and decrease in time and cost by infrastructure.
