Thanks to this powerful partnership, Entelai Pic’s Artificial Intelligence tools will be available on IMEXHS’ Aquila 3.0 platform.
EntelAI’s Entelai Pic artificial intelligence tools for neurology will be available in the cloud through IMEXHS’ Aquila 3.0 platform, thanks to an affordable on-demand subscription model.
The function of Entelai Pic is to perform an automated MRI analysis of the brain. Using the convolutional neural networks developed by Entelai for brain extraction, hyperintense lesions, tissues and other areas of the brain (starting from a volumetric T1 and a volumetric FLAIR). This allows its use for the measurement of atrophy in all patients, as well as atrophy and lesions in patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
The main characteristics of Entelai Pic are the analysis of the brain volume and more than 30 cortical areas, the calculation of the patient’s percentile with a normative base by age from 18 to 80 years, and the segmentation and quantification of hyperintense lesions in FLAIR for the follow-up of patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
The motivation behind the alliance with EntelAI is that the Entelai Pic software is a revolutionary AI tool which empowers doctors, thus transforming the medical centres where it is used. Ultimately, the use of Entelai Pic allows the optimisation of of screening processes, thus saving time and money.
Furthermore, it increases diagnostic sensitivity, allowing new cases to be detected early, retaining them in the medical centre, and generating additional income for each new patient who requires follow-up at the institution. Finally, the use of innovative technology gives the centre a cutting edge position, allowing greater recruitment and retention of patients.
Benjamin Brinquis, Strategic Partnership Manager expressed about this new alliance “As IMEXHS continues to grow, we are constantly on the lookout for strategic partnerships that further enrich our product offering and provide our customers with innovative medical imaging technology at an affordable cost; Entelai does exactly that. Similarly to IMEXHS, Entelai was created by physicians and this can be appreciated in how practical their AI tools are. Such tools significantly improve physician’s productivity and provide them with very valuable quantitative data via their structured reporting”.
On the other hand, Mauricio Florez, CEO of Entelai, mentions: “There is more and more scientific evidence in the last few years that radiologists working with artificial intelligence tools outperform the precision of those working without any support. That is why we are very excited about this, it is the first partnership of its kind in the region, and we have no doubt that it will have a profound impact on the everyday practice of radiologists working with Aquila”.
This agreement makes Entelai Pic’s artificial intelligence for neurology more efficient for clinicians, optimising and centralising the method within the AQUILA 3.0 platform while allowing them to take advantage of its superior teleradiology capabilities.
