IMEXHS recently passed the SG-SST Occupational Health and Safety System audits successfully.
The Occupational Health and Safety System is a methodical process that is carried out in stages, based on a constant optimization of the policy, organization, planning, application, evaluation, audit, and improvement of actions, that intents to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control the risks that may affect safety and health in the workplace.
IMEXHS went through two audits. The first was carried out on September 14 by the OSH area of HOCEN, complying 100% with the requirements. In this process, the UT’s (Temporary union between IMEXHS and RIMAB) SST is reviewed, which is important to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
The second audit was carried out on September 23 by HOCEN’s supervisor and radioprotection officer. In this audit, they reviewed the SG-SST of the IMEXHS, RIMAB, and UT (Temporary union between IMEXHS and RIMAB) companies, which implies conformity and compliance with the regulatory, licensing, and contractual standards.
The application of the SG-SST has the advantages of improving the work environment, well-being, and quality of working life, increasing productivity, reducing sickness absence rates, reducing workplace accident rates, and mortality in these cases in Colombia. Also, it ensures effective compliance with the regulations, requirements, and mandatory compliance procedures by companies and contractors, in matters of occupational hazards.
